2 years ago today

We stood in this chapel vowing our love and lives to one another in front of our families and friends.

We danced to this song (please jump over and listen- you won't regret it!!)
And we became partners for life

I wouldn't have it any other way, my dear B.

Lots and lots,
forever and ever,
with all my cells.

Wonderful Wedding Weekend

These two lovely people were married on Saturday night up north. The wedding took place on the bluff in front of A's family cottage. This is a random pic, but you can see how gorgeous the view is. Rain, wind, and thunder had been predicted for the whole day, but after lots of prayers said, it ended up just being windy and a mite chilly. The sun shone the whole time!!!! Wonderful for all.

You can see how windy it was in this pic. So much for the time spent curling my hair!!

They held their reception at the same country club we did last summer. This view is from the putting green looking onto the awesome porch. You can't see it in this pic, but to the right is the dance floor. It was PACKED all night long!!! I have been to multiple weddings with bands all over the country, and this was, by far, the BEST wedding band I have ever heard. We were all quite impressed and had a ball with them!

Here's the crowded dance floor and the bride and groom rockin out with the band!

My best girlfriends and I nearing the end of the night

B and I (also towards the end)- so exhausted after having SO much fun!!

Congrats J&A! We had a wonderful time at your wedding and hope you are having a great time in Bermuda! See you this fall!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need a reason to wear this hat!

This gorgeous inspiration board is from Snippet and Ink. See the white hat on the right side??? I'm slightly obsessed. I have a two garden weddings this summer along with a backyard wedding, but I'm not sure I could pull it off as Americans, in general, just aren't hat people. This one is slightly over the top as well, so if no one else is in a hat, it might be too much. Europafox, can I come to a wedding on the other side of the pond with you? I'd be happy to buy this hat for the occasion!

Anyone have any other (perhaps slightly smaller) works of millinery that I can peruse while I'm dreaming? Also, is anyone out there planning a yellow and white wedding? We debated on navy and yellow for awhile, and I still think it would have been just gorgeous!

Wedding featured!

Darci at With This Ring featured our wedding today. There are 3 posts! It was great chatting with her over email while she was gathering information. I loved reading her posts on WeddingBee while I was planning and still have her in my google reader even though I've deleted most other wedding blogs.

One "fix" to the post. My mom didn't make the guys pants. We bought them at Land's End and then found the fabric seperately to make the table runners. My mom is good with the sewing machine, but she would never had sewed all those pants! Trust me! You can't see it in any of the pics, but the ties are the pink Classic Whale from Vineyard Vines.
