Have I told you?????

That I am 85-90% sure this baby is a little boy?  I'm not exactly sure why, but I just have stronger boy feelings than girl feelings.

ie- Love boy announcements, can't find a girl one that I'm drooling over
I think the 20 week ultrasound has more of a "boy" look than a girl look
The nursery is blue
Pud is measuring bigger than the week (I'm 31 weeks right now yet it is measuring at 33 weeks), and I'm likely to think that boys measure bigger than girls (though I have NO scientific evidence to back this up)
Boy names are SUPER easy for B and I and girl names are much harder.
B and one of the besties have both had dreams in which I had a boy.
Plus, boys seem to be all the rage lately.  I know many more people having boys than girls.

So, that's my story.  I will truly be shocked in the delivery room if they tell me it's a girl (excited of course, but SUPER shocked).  Soooooo, what do you think?  If you didn't find out with your kids, were your feelings right?  Do any of my justifications above make you agree with me?

Okay, so this is REALLY weird.  After I wrote this post two women in the hospital on separate occasions asked me when I was due and what I was having.  When I told them I didn't know, both of them said "Oh, it's a girl".  One lady has worked in day care and has taken care of over 100 kids and she said she has never once been wrong regarding the sex.  I said "really?  I have more boy feelings than girl feelings" and she said "honey, don't fool yourself.  It's a girl."  Weird, weird, weird.

  1. girl. I just feel it in my bones. plus, you and B are such an attractive couple and there's a study that the more attractive the couple, the more likely that a daughter is the firstborn. seriously, from the london school of economics!

  3. I was so confident that we were having a girl we did not even pick out a boy name until I was in labor.

  4. Well, as you know i predicted correctly that Leah and Elliot would be twins, boy/ girl and born on July 11th. I say BOY! Born May 5th to match Jon, and so when they get to be adults they can celebrate their birthday on cinco de mayo :)

  5. How fun would a boy be! And coming from a family of two girls, I always thought an older brother would have been so fun! Oh little polos! Cannot wait for you to find out!

  6. I was convinced my first was a boy. So much so, that I kept calling her 'Little Man' while we were in the hospital. To say we were shocked is an undertatement.

They are both so much fun! Can't wait to find out!

  7. Everything you said was e-x-a-c-t-l-y what I thought when I had my big, 9lb GIRL! I was 100% sure it was a boy. I was fooled again for baby #2-- I was sure it was a girl & was shocked to hear boy.

I think you have a girl in there...we'll have to see!! Either way you are going to have a healthy baby & you are going to be a great mom!

  8. Everyone thought I was having a girl too, but it was most certainly a BOY. Have you checked the chinese gender calendar? It's been right for all my friends.

  9. My mom didn't find out with any of us... she wanted/thought it was a girl with me, boy with my brother and girl with my sister. She was right every time. Have you done the Chinese numerology? Add the number of the month you conceived to your age and conception... if the result is an odd number, it's supposed to be a girl. If it's even, it's supposed to be a boy. Although completely unscientific, in my completely unscientific samplings, it's right at least 3/4 of the time!
