I just finished it and was so disappointed. I don't want to spoil it for those who want to read it still, but it is very similar to one of her other books. So similar, in fact, that I think she just got lazy, changed some names, changed minor parts of the plot, and was finished. I also didn't feel as strongly about these characters as I usually do. It's definitely a library read rather than a bookstore buy (if you are going to read it at all). I'm now onto Breaking Dawn- can't wait to see how Bella and Edward end this series!
As shocking as this is, I've never read any of her books. But with all of my new free time on my hands, I think I should try some of her books out. What do you recommend? Do they go in order?
ReplyDeleteHey! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I can see where you were saying how you felt it was a lot like My Sisters Keeper. I think the difference is that those parents chose to create a child soley to help keep another child alive. The parents in Handle With Care weren't given any choices. I guess there are a lot of likeness in terms of how a ill or disabled child can really tear a family apart. I am in the process of picking out my new read as we speak. I might start Chasing Wild Horses. xoxo KAG
ReplyDeleteI've read a bunch of her books and noticed that they're almost all the same. I loevd My Sister's Keeper and also liked Keeping Faith. I haven't seen the movie yet - I heard it's so sad!
